February 2, 2007
U.S. Geothermal Inc., a Boise renewable-energy developer, received the Governor's Clean Energy Award during the recent Harvesting Clean Energy Conference in Boise. The award recognizes the company's contribution to the development of renewable energy in Idaho.
"We are honored by this recognition. Idaho's vast geothermal energy potential, coupled with hydroelectric power and wind power, could allow our state to become a leader in renewable energy production," said Daniel Kunz, president and CEO of U.S. Geothermal.
The conference is the Northwest's premier event, bringing agriculture and clean energy production together. Lt. Gov. Jim Risch presented the award to U.S. Geothermal in acknowledgement of the company's development of geothermal resources in Idaho. |
